Come and visit Ontario Power Genertion's Atikokan Generating Station for a 25th Anniversary Open House

on Saturday, September 11, 2010 from noon until 4:00 p.m.

Station tours, historic photos, displays, entertainment and food and refreshments.

Ample parking on site or free bus transportation from the Town Hall Parking Lot on the hour from noon until 3:00 p.m. with return service

at 12:30, 1:30, 2:30 and 4:00p.m.

Atikokan Chamber of Commerce

The Atikokan Chamber of Commerce is a volunteer organization that provides programs and services to meet the business needs of our members, while promoting efforts to make the community a great place to live, work and visit. Our membership is comprised of owners, proprietors and employees of the Atikokan business community, as well as private citizens.

Chamber Goals
Promote the natural beauty, businesses, services and amenities available in  Atikokan, “The Canoeing Capital of Canada”, to potential visitors and local residents.

Provide training programs and relevant information seminars to our members in order to develop and encourage excellent customer service and increased business knowledge.

Facilitate communication and networking within the Chamber membership to promote the exchange of ideas, knowledge and resources.

Provide input and in-kind assistance to local non-profit organizations who undertake economically beneficial projects.

Lobby local government concerning business issues, and encourage NOACC to bring regional economic issues to higher levels of government on our behalf.
