The Chamber of Commerce hosted its Annual General Meeting & Business Awards Night on Friday April 13, 2007, at Errington Hall. The Honourable George Smitherman, Minister of Health & Longterm Care & Deputy Premier was the guest speaker for the event.
This year we had 37 nominations for the annual business awards, the most we have had in many years. It was tough to choose this year's winners, as all nominees were deserving of the awards; ultimately there could only be one winner for each category.
The Chamber of Commerce would like to thank all our sponsors for helping to make this event a success. Bell, Tramin Limited, Ontario Power Generation, Atikokan Forest Products, WindEau Investments, Moffat Supply, Thunder Bay Insurance, Sportop Marketing, Atikokan Township, Atikokan Economic Development Corporation, Green Funeral Home, TD Canada Trust, Canoe Canada, Royal Bank of Canada, Wildwood Country, Voyageur Books, and The Enchanted Florist.
