The Atikokan Bass Classic is the "funnest bass tourney in the Northwest"
The Atikokan Bass Classic is a small mouth bass fishing tournament, which will take place on Upper and Lower Marmian Lake this year.
The Atikokan Bass Classic is an artificial lure only-live release bass tournament, to be held in August.

Ken Boshcoff MP
In June 2004, Ken was elected as Member of Parliament for the Thunder Bay-Rainy River riding. In his first term he served as Chair of the Subcommittee of the Status for Persons with Disabilities and was member of the Standing Committee on Operations and Estimates. Re-elected in 2006, Ken was the Associate Critic for Natural Resources from April 2006 - January 2007. Ken is presently the Official Opposition Critic for Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario (FEDNOR). Ken also serves on the Standing Committee of Agriculture and the Standing Committee on Natural Resources. He is member and past Chair of the National Liberal Rural Caucus, where his aim to bring a bigger voice to the issues facing Rural Canada.

Beaten Path Nordic Cross Country Ski Club

- Atikokan's Cross country Ski Club has an open invitation to all nordic skiers (or want to be skiers) living or traveling in North Western Ontario. The Beaten Path is a volunteer club that has created a great system of trails that will appeal to skiers of all levels and abilities. There are 35 km. of groomed trails for skate and classic 5 min. from town. There is another 35 km. of wilderness trails 25 minutes away in Quetico Provincial Park. Come out and enjoy North Western Ontario's majestic winter scenery on a true wilderness trail system.

The Charleson Recreation Association was formed in June of 2005, in an effort to consolidate different user groups in the Charleson Recreation Area. The committee is composed of volunteers representing 7 recreation groups.

Sno-Ho Club, Atikokan Motocross Club, Mudslingers 4 x 4 Club, Steep Rock Mountain Bikers Club, Equine Trail Riders Horse Club, Ride for Sight, Bow to Stern Canoe Association.
The goal of the committee is to develop the Charleson Recreation Area into a multi-use recreation area that is equipped to hold events for user groups, and enhance tourism to the area.

North of Superior Tourism Assoication (NOSTA) is a highly effective not-for-profit tourism association; its a partnership driven Destination Marketing Organization located above Lake Superior, in the North West region of the Province of Ontario.
The NOSTA region is one of the largest regions in the Province encompassing 60 000 square miles of wilderness and NOSTA currently represents over 300 direct tourism and industry related businesses in eight regions and another 200 or so around the "world famous" Lake Superior Circle Tour.
The primary focus of NOSTA is on marketing tourism in the District of Thunder Bay and in Northern Ontario in general. NOSTA wants to enhance the economy of the region and its member partners through increased visitor spending by attracting more visitors to its region and by providing those visitors with opportunities and reasons to stay here longer.
